Latest cell phones

We are living in cell phone age. Cell phone, that was initially conceived as a gadget has made the world small and people come closer to each other, has become more holistic in nature. The present article is aimed at showing the changing phase of cell phones- from their single to multipurpose usage.

Perhaps no one in today’s world can imagine one’s life without cell phone and due to this various companies are coming up with some innovations. For instance recently the renowned cell phone company Nokia has launched two handsets in the market by the name of Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Saphire Arte. These premium handsets are designed keeping in mind the discerning and style-conscious consumers. These handsets boast several unique features including a sophisticated theme that takes inspiration from nature. Both Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte feature a high-end metal and glass composition that adds to their classic and iconic style.

Similarly, keeping pace with time and the consumer’s growing demands, the LG Electronics has also announced their new creation- the KS20, a phone that features high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) and a full touch screen for usability. It is reported that LG KS20 has been liked by the press and the parties. It has won a ‘Choice Product’ for ‘Product Highlight’ at IFA 2007 held in Berlin, Germany from last Aug 31 through September 5.

These and several other products launched by big companies like Samsung, Motorola, Philips, Sony etc. reflect that how cell phones are no more instruments meant merely to communicate, rather they are much beyond that. The superb features such as Bluetooth compatibility, MP3 players, infrared, camera resolution, battery life and games have made cell phones a perfect replacement to many other gadgets.

The quality and features of cell phones are improving each day. The companies are making a constant effort to give something new to the customers and hog the limelight. For example the latest trend in cell phones reflects a convergence of video, data and voice communications. The stream of latest multimedia-enabled handsets is a paradigm example of that.

However, according to some experts, it is ‘just the tip of an iceberg’. The companies are still struggling to provide the “latest” and the “best” technology in cell phones. And probably over a period of time we will be able to see much more reformed cell phones.
